
This
fund was created in 1992, acquiring its own assets through a transfer
of funds from FACF. The purpose of the Elderly Needs Fund is to make grants
to support health and enrich aging for the elderly of Newaygo County.
The strategies
of the Elderly Needs Fund include:
- Promote the physical health of the elderly
- Promote the mental/emotional well being of the elderly
and their caregivers
- Promote the social enrichment and prevent the social
isolation of the elderly
- Promote the provision of basic human services for
the elderly
Regular
application deadlines are February 15 and September 15 each year.
