On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Osceola County Community Foundation, I would like to thank everyone for their support during 2007. With your help, the Foundation had a great year.

Our Annual Auction generated a new record for income during difficult financial times
bringing in $21,044. If you are interested in helping with this year’s auction, please contact Larry Emig.

The Osceola County Community Foundation was a beneficiary of the John Outen Estate and received a gift of $376,000. The generosity of community members never ceases to amaze members of our Foundation. The selling of the Baker property by the Board of Commissioners completed the cleanup project initiated and overseen by the Osceola County Community Foundation and financed by local businesses in the amount of approximately $88,000. As of December 31, 2007, the assets of the Osceola County Community Foundation now total nearly three million dollars. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to make our community a better place to live.

The work of the Foundation is carried out primarily by volunteers who either live in or work in Osceola County. There are over fifty volunteers who make up our committees and Board of Trustees. Their dedication has helped make our Foundation a success.

With the help of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors, the total net assets of the Foundation increased by 35 percent over the past twelve months. Our assets now total $2.96 million as of December 31, 2007. We want to thank everyone who has made it possible to go from one million dollars in assets to nearly three million dollars in assets in just five years.

The Foundation would like to express its sincere appreciation to the Fremont Area Community Foundation for the continued help and support it gives to the Osceola County Community Foundation.

The Board of Trustees is looking forward to working with all of you in 2008 so we can continue giving back to a community who has so graciously given to the Foundation.
